I swear I haven’t abandoned you!

I‘ve been so super busy lately!! I started babysitting in June and then at the end of June I got a new job (that I love so much!!) working for 2 hotels here in town (they’re owned by the same person so everyone works both places), It’s so much fun getting to meet all the people who are traveling from all over the country!

I recently did 2 swaps ( and am doing another one right now) so I’ll tell you all about the awesome stuff that I got from those this week!

I’m also going to post some recipes for banana bread and zuchini bread this week because we made zuchini bread last week and I love it almost as much as I like banana bread.

I think I’m going to start crocheting again soon (i stopped over the summer), but recently I’ve had the urge to start again.

What have you been up to while I’ve been missing?

This morning I got to go to Lambeau and have Breakfast with a Packer thanks to Klout. It was so much fun! I brought my friend kim with me and we met up with Anne. We got to hear Jarrett Bush talk about being a Packer and then we got to take pictures and get autographs.

Super Fancy Plates!

Talking about what it’s like to be a packer and about his career so far.

Zoo Trip!

Last week I stole Emerson from Misty and we went to the zoo. We had so much fun! We saw penguins or “chickens” as em’s like to call them.

We fed the Giraffe and then since we had leftover leaves when the giraffe walked away we went and fed the prairie dogs.

The peacock was even showing off his feathers for everyone

then we went and fed the animals at the kids zoo

and before we left we checked out the new baby monkey’s and took pics with some of the statues.

The Nail Files — Amber’s Life

I got my June Julep Maven box this week. This month I selected to get the boho glam box

The polishes are so cute! I’m so glad that I choose this box this month!

I did my nails as soon as I got the box and I did one hand with all robin and one nail in daisy and the other the exact oposite. I did notice that with the daisy it is thinner so to get the color that I wanted I had to do 4 coats, but Robin you only needed 2 coats.

For what I get every month from Julep it’s def worth the $20 a month!

I was a Very Dirty Girl Last Weekend…

but I had so much fun!

Every Memorial Day weekend we usually head up to the cabin in Lakewood for a fun filled long weekend and this year was no exception!

Saturday we went on a trail ride to Waubeno and stopped at the Knothole for some Ice Cream and French Fries. The ride was so much fun and I made a point to hit every puddle I could find, no matter how small! It did rain a tiny bit which was just enough to keep the trails from being super dusty like they normally are.

Before we left waubeno a few of us took turns driving as fast as we could through the big puddle that was in the parking lot. that was the dirtiest we go that day because we hadn’t seen a lot of puddles.

Then on sunday we really go dirty! Since it rained super hard and hailed and stormed pretty good saturday night we had plenty of puddles to go through! We went south this time and we headed to Mountain for some Ice Cream at Scoopers. Along the way I found every single puddle I could and drove as fast as I could, needless to say we were a bit dirty when we got home.

The best part though was when Sam (my cousin) told us about this little trail he had found where the trucks had gone through leaving big ruts and HUGE puddles! So of course we had to go! I hadn’t gone actual mud running since I was little and my parents and uncle’s took us kids. It was a ton of fun! I got sooo dirty though! I came home and my jeans were caked in mud and so were my shoes. I was wearing a white long sleeve shirt under a green t-shirt and when I came home I was mostly brown.

This is Dad’s new 4-wheeler. My brother drove it when we went mud-running, it was pretty clean when we left the cabin and this is what it looked like when we got back.

this is pretty much what the yard looked like all weekend, all the atv’s lined up ready and waiting for us to go on rides.

I had so much fun and I think I may try and stay up all week over the 4th of July just so I can trail riding and mud running some more

What I’m reading

Private investigator Alexandra Lovell uses computer skills and cunning to help clients drop off the radar and begin new lives in safety. Melanie Bess, desperate to escape her abusive cop husband, was one of those clients. But when Melanie vanishes for real, Alex fears the worst, and sets out to discover what happened. Using every resource she can get her hands on — including an elite team of forensic scientists known as the Tracers, and a jaded, sexy Austin PD detective — Alex embarks on a mission to uncover the truth.

As far as homicide cop Nathan Deveraux is concerned, no body means no case. But as much as he wants to believe that Alex’s hunch about Melanie’s murder is wrong, his instincts — and their visceral attraction — won’t let him walk away. As a grim picture of what really happened begins to emerge, Nathan realizes this investigation runs deeper than they could ever have guessed. And each step nearer the truth puts Alex in danger of being the next to disappear….

About the second book:

Elaina McCord’s dream of being an FBI profiler is threatened by her very first case—investigating a string of murders near a Texas beach resort. The victims, all young women, were drugged and brutally murdered, their bodies abandoned in desolate marshland. Elaina’s hunch—met with disbelief by local police—is that these are only the latest offerings from a serial killer who has been perfecting his art for years, growing bolder and more cunning with each strike.

True-crime writer Troy Stockton has a reputation as an irresistible playboy who gets his story at any cost. He’s the last person Elaina should trust, let alone be attracted to. But right now Troy, along with the elite team of forensics experts known as the Tracers, is her only ally in a case that’s turning dangerously personal. A killer is reaching out to Elaina, taunting her, letting her know how ruthless he is and how close he’s getting. Now it’s not just her career that’s in jeopardy—it’s her life. . . .

About the third book:

At first, Mia Voss thinks it’s just bad luck when her already lousy day ends with a carjacking, but what seems like a random incident is followed by another sinister episode. A DNA expert, Mia has made it her mission to put away vicious criminals. Suddenly, she’s become the target of one. And the only way to protect the people she loves most is to deliberately destroy her reputation and risk letting a killer walk free.

Once, Mia trusted Detective Ric Santos, but that was before Ric let his turbulent past ruin his chances with Mia, the sexiest, most intriguing woman he’s ever met. But he can tell when she’s lying—and when she’s scared. The key to catching a sadistic madman lies within a long-buried cold case that has haunted Mia for years. Only she can uncover the truth, but first, Ric will have to get her to entrust him with her secrets . . . and her life.
